The San Francisco 49ers’ special teams unit had a standout performance in their Week 5 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Punter Mitch Wishnowsky averaged 51.5 yards per punt, with three of his six punts landing inside the 20-yard line. Kicker Jake Moody made all three of his field goal attempts, including a 53-yarder. Long snapper Matthew Wright also had a perfect night, snapping for all three of Moody’s field goals and both of Wishnowsky’s punts. The special teams unit played a crucial role in the 49ers’ 24-9 victory.
