China’s Tsinghua Unigroup has agreed to acquire Xcerra Corporation, an American semiconductor equipment manufacturer, for approximately $2.5 billion. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2022, subject to regulatory approvals. Xcerra’s technology will complement Tsinghua Unigroup’s existing semiconductor business.
