How a Last-Minute Script Update Changed the Sets of ‘Beetlejuice’ Sequel

The upcoming ‘Beetlejuice’ sequel, ‘Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian,’ underwent significant set design changes due to a last-minute script update. Originally, the film was to be set in a haunted mansion in New England. However, the script was revised to take place in Hawaii, requiring a complete overhaul of the sets. Production designer Jeremiah O’Driscoll and his team had to adapt to the new location, creating lush tropical sets and incorporating Hawaiian elements into the design.
