Four people were shot at a Brooklyn train station on Tuesday when officers opened fire on a man wielding a knife, according to the New York Police Department. The incident occurred at the Broadway Junction station around 2:30 p.m. local time. The man, who has not been identified, reportedly approached a group of people and brandished the knife, at which point officers arrived and fired several shots. The man was struck multiple times and taken to the hospital in critical condition. The four people who were shot are expected to survive. The NYPD is investigating the incident.
