A Durham man was charged with making threats to shoot up NC State University’s campus, according to a news release from the university. The man, identified as 21-year-old Ethan Thorson, allegedly made the threats in a series of text messages to another person, the release states. Thorson was arrested Tuesday and charged with making a false report of a mass violent felony, the release states.
