Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) President, Olumide Akpata, has clarified that the Sept. 21 event was not an election but a transaction. Akpata made this known in a statement, stating that the NBA National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting and elections were postponed due to logistical issues. He further explained that the Sept. 21 event was a transaction to validate the mandate of the current NEC. The elections have been rescheduled for Oct. 30, 2021.
