California to Allow Indoor Dining, Bars Reopen With Capacity Limitations

California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Tuesday that the state will allow indoor dining and bar reopenings with capacity limitations as part of a plan to gradually ease coronavirus restrictions. The new rules, which take effect March 15, will allow restaurants to operate at 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer. Bars, breweries and wineries can reopen for outdoor service only, but can offer indoor service if they also operate as a restaurant. Newsom also said that theme parks, museums and zoos can reopen outdoors with modifications.
