U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday he would negotiate a deal between Ukraine and Russia with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, following their meeting at the United Nations. Trump’s comments came during a joint news conference with Zelenskyy, who took office in May. Trump also said he believed Russia would return Crimea to Ukraine, a move that would reverse Moscow’s annexation of the region in 2014.
