Detroit-born federal appeals court Judge Damon J. Keith passed away on Sunday at the age of 96. A civil rights icon, Keith served on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit for over 30 years. He was known for his landmark rulings on desegregation, free speech, and other constitutional issues.
