The District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department has announced street closures for the funeral procession of Ethel Kennedy on Rhode Island Avenue on Friday, February 11. The procession is expected to begin at 11:30 a.m. and will travel from Holy Rood Cemetery to the Kennedy family compound at Hickory Hill. Several streets will be closed during this time, including Rhode Island Avenue between 16th and 24th Streets NW, 16th Street between Rhode Island Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue, and Massachusetts Avenue between 16th and 18th Streets NW.
