The Biden administration has announced a student loan forgiveness program for public service workers. Eligible borrowers can have up to $10,000 in student debt forgiven, and those with federal student loans for public service work totaling over $50,000 can have up to $20,000 forgiven. The program, which is an expansion of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, will also include waivers for past errors in loan processing and repayment. The changes are expected to benefit around 550,000 borrowers.
