Indian opening batsman Shubman Gill has been ruled out of the first Test against New Zealand due to injury. The BCCI announced Kuldeep Yadav and Sarfaraz Khan as his replacements in the Indian XI. Gill sustained a glute injury during the warm-up match and underwent a scan which confirmed the diagnosis.
