Discover Financial Services announced that Hope Mehlman, the company’s top lawyer and head of legal and public policy, is leaving the firm. Mehlman, who joined Discover in 2015, will depart at the end of the year. Her departure comes after a series of high-profile legal challenges for Discover, including a data breach class action lawsuit. The company has not yet announced a replacement.
