Apple has agreed to pay $113 million to settle a class action lawsuit over the company’s practice of slowing down older iPhones to preserve battery life without informing users. The lawsuit, which was first filed in 2017, accused Apple of intentionally degrading the performance of iPhones through software updates to force customers to buy new devices.
