Back-to-Back Hurricanes to Test FEMA as Funds Run Low

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is bracing for back-to-back hurricanes, with funds running low after a busy Atlantic storm season. The agency has already spent over $2 billion on response and recovery efforts for Hurricanes Ian and Nicole, and the upcoming storms could further deplete its resources. FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell warned that the agency may need additional funding from Congress to respond effectively.
