Boeing announced on Tuesday that it will cut approximately 10,000 jobs and delay the production of its 777x airplane due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the aviation industry. The job cuts represent about 10% of the company’s workforce. The 777x project, which was expected to begin production later this year, will now be delayed until 2022. Boeing also announced that it will take a $6.5 billion charge related to the 737 Max grounding.
