Boeing announced plans for layoffs affecting hundreds of employees at its South Carolina plant. The layoffs come as the company continues to deal with the fallout from a strike at the facility, which began in late September. The strike, which involves the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, has disrupted production of the 787 Dreamliner.
