The San Francisco 49ers have provided injury updates on running back Christian McCaffrey and defensive lineman Ricky Pearson. McCaffrey, who was acquired in a trade from the Carolina Panthers, suffered a quadriceps injury during practice on Tuesday. Pearson, who was signed to the practice squad on Monday, underwent surgery on his knee and is expected to miss the rest of the season. The Niners also announced that defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw has been activated from the injured reserve list.
