New evidence has emerged shedding light on the role of the Chicago Cubs’ video replay room, known as ‘Cubs Media and Technology Services’ (Cmus), in the Houston Astros’ sign-stealing scandal. According to a report by The Athletic, Cmus allegedly provided the Astros with a live feed of the opposing team’s catchers’ signs during the 2018 season. The report also suggests that the Cubs were aware of the scheme but did not report it to Major League Baseball. MLB is currently investigating the matter.
