According to a report by ActionSportsPA.com, former Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett claimed that the Pittsburgh Steelers lied to him about their interest in drafting him. Pickett stated that he had a meeting with head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert, during which they expressed their desire to select him in the draft. However, the Steelers ultimately chose another quarterback, Kenny Pickett was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round. Tomlin and Colbert have not yet commented on Pickett’s allegations.
