According to Bloomberg, satellite TV providers Directv and Dish are in talks to merge once again. The potential deal comes after T-Mobile US Inc. abandoned its attempt to buy Sprint Corp., which had been seen as a possible suitor for Dish’s wireless business. A merger between Directv and Dish would create a larger competitor to market leader Comcast Corp. and AT&T Inc. in the pay-TV industry.
