A Spanish court has sentenced former Real Madrid and Manchester United footballer, Juanito, to six years and three months in prison for defrauding tax authorities of over €4.5 million. The 49-year-old, whose real name is Jose Maria Garrido Merchan, was found guilty of hiding income from image rights and endorsements between 2003 and 2007.
