The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Thursday authorized a third dose of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine for older adults and those at high risk of severe illness or exposure to the virus. The move comes after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also updated its guidelines to recommend the booster for these groups.
