Film producer Anjing Xu was indicted on tax fraud charges in a multi-decade conspiracy that involved evading more than $11 million in taxes, according to a grand jury indictment unsealed in New York. Xu, who produced movies including ‘The Joy Luck Club’ and ‘Memoirs of a Geisha,’ is accused of conspiring with others to file false tax returns and conceal income from 1995 to 2016. The indictment also charges Xu with obstruction of justice for allegedly destroying documents and other evidence.
