Former Duke Blue Devils forward AJ Griffin is reportedly considering retirement from the NBA. Griffin, who was drafted 16th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2022 NBA Draft, has yet to make his NBA debut. He spent last season with the Hawks’ G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks, where he averaged 12.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. According to reports, Griffin is weighing his options and may retire due to personal reasons. The Hawks have not commented on the situation. Griffin’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, also declined to comment. The Houston Rockets have expressed interest in signing Griffin if he decides to continue his basketball career.
