Google to pay €100M to France, Ireland in EU antitrust probe

Google will pay €100 million ($117 million) to France and Ireland to settle antitrust investigations into its use of customer data for advertising. The European Commission opened the probes in 2019, alleging that Google used its market dominance in online advertising to illegally collect data from websites and apps.
