During a New Jersey Senate debate on Tuesday, Republican candidate Curtis Bashaw fainted on stage. The debate, which was being held at Monmouth University, was between Bashaw and incumbent Democratic Senator Bob Menendez. Bashaw was in the middle of answering a question when he suddenly collapsed. Medical personnel were called to the scene and Bashaw was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. The cause of the fainting is currently unknown.
