The Israeli military launched airstrikes on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip early on Tuesday in response to a rocket fired from the coastal enclave towards Israel. The rocket was intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system. No injuries were reported on either side. Hamas’s military wing claimed responsibility for the attack.
