India won the first T20I against New Zealand by 7 wickets on Wednesday. India’s openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul put on a 120-run stand to help India chase down New Zealand’s total of 164. Shreyas Iyer and Shivam Dube also contributed with valuable runs. For New Zealand, Tim Seifert scored 53 and Colin de Grandhomme took 2 wickets. The second T20I will be played on Friday.
