Intuitive Machines, a Houston-based space technology startup, announced it has reduced the cost of landing a payload on the moon by 86%. The company’s lunar lander, called Nova-C, is designed to carry up to 1,100 pounds (500 kg) of cargo to the lunar surface for $2.5 million per mission. This price is significantly lower than the current market rate of $20 million per mission.
