Japanese idol group AKB48 announced on Monday that member Ami Maeda has been suspended from all group activities. The reason for the suspension is not clear, but Maeda is reportedly not participating in the group’s upcoming single release and upcoming performances. Maeda, 28, has been a member of AKB48 since 2006 and has been a regular member since 2010.
