John Fetterman Dismisses Bernie Sanders Endorsement as ‘Irrelevant’

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman on Sunday dismissed Sen. Bernie Sanders’ endorsement of his Democratic primary opponent, saying it was ‘irrelevant’ to the race. Fetterman made the comments during an interview on CNN’s ‘State of the Union.’ Sanders endorsed Val Arkoosh, the Montgomery County commissioner, over Fetterman last week, citing their shared progressive values and his belief that Fetterman was not mentally fit for the job. Fetterman, who is recovering from a stroke, responded by accusing Sanders of making ‘baseless attacks.’ ‘I think it’s irrelevant,’ Fetterman said. ‘I’ve been endorsed by every major labor union in the state of Pennsylvania, and I’ve been endorsed by every major progressive organization in the state of Pennsylvania.’
