Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis has surpassed Sunil Gavaskar’s record of most runs scored by a wicket-keeper in a single Test series against Pakistan. Mendis’ total of 323 runs in the ongoing series equals Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik’s record. Mendis scored his runs in the first two Tests of the three-match series, which is currently level at 1-1.
