The New York Mets clinched the National League East division title with a 2-1 win over the Atlanta Braves in 13 innings on Thursday night. Jacob deGrom pitched six strong innings, but the Mets trailed 1-0 entering the eighth inning. They tied the game on a solo home run by Francisco Lindor and won it on a sacrifice fly by James McCann in the top of the 13th.
