The New York Mets have not promoted their top infield prospect, Brett Baty, to the major leagues despite his impressive performance in the minor leagues. According to Mets manager Buck Showalter, Baty needs more seasoning in the minors before he is ready for the big leagues. The team is also considering other options at third base, such as Eduardo Escobar and J.D. Davis. Baty, who was the Mets’ first-round pick in 2019, is currently playing for the Triple-A Syracuse Mets.
