Nats Edge Mets in Extras: Rendon Homers Twice in 11-10 Win

Washington Nationals second baseman Starlin Castro drove in the go-ahead run with a single in the top of the 11th inning, lifting his team to an 11-10 victory over the New York Mets on Thursday night. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Nationals. Third baseman Anthony Rendon homered twice for the Nationals, who trailed 10-9 in the eighth inning before tying the game on a two-run homer by outfielder Victor Robles. Mets starter Marcus Stroman allowed five runs in six innings, while Nationals starter Max Scherzer gave up five runs in five frames.
