The new Cabarrus County Animal Shelter, located at 4951 Old Concord Road in Concord, opened its doors to the public on Monday, January 10. The shelter, which has been in the works for several years, replaces the old facility on West Mountain Street. The new shelter features larger kennels, a larger intake area, and a community room for adoptions and events.
