The new chicane at the Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Roval course has left several NASCAR drivers experiencing concussion-like symptoms after the race. The chicane, added to the course for the Bank of America Roval 400, features a sharp left turn followed by a quick right, which has caused some drivers to hit the wall or lose control. Drivers such as Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Busch have reported symptoms including headaches, dizziness, and memory loss. The cause of these symptoms is believed to be related to the violent whiplash effect of hitting the wall or the rapid changes in direction.
