National Rifle Association leader Douglas Hamlin was arrested on Thursday for allegedly torturing a cat and setting fire to a home in upstate New York. Hamlin, 63, was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, arson and criminal mischief. The incident occurred at Hamlin’s residence in the town of Wallkill, where authorities found the charred remains of a house and a dead cat. Hamlin is expected to appear in court on Friday.
