Hamlin, 63, was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, arson and criminal mischief. The incident occurred at Hamlin’s residence in the town of Wallkill, where authorities found the charred remains of a house and a dead cat. Hamlin is expected to appear in court on Friday.
