Oracle is planning to construct a new data center in Texas, which will be powered by small modular reactors (SMRs) from NuScale Power. The data center, named Oracle 1GW Data Center, is expected to have a capacity of one gigawatt and will be located in the city of Alvin. The project is expected to create around 1,000 jobs during construction and 150 permanent positions once operational.
