Penn State football defender Abdul Carter earned multiple accolades following a standout performance against Illinois on Saturday. Carter recorded a team-high 12 tackles, including 3.5 for loss, and forced a fumble in the Nittany Lions’ 35-21 victory. The redshirt junior was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week and was also recognized as the Lott IMPACT Trophy Defensive Player of the Week. Carter’s impressive play helped Penn State improve to 5-0 on the season.
