Pilot Dies After Takeoff, Jet Makes Emergency Landing in New York

A passenger jet made an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on Tuesday after the pilot died following takeoff from Seattle. The Boeing 777-200, operated by Alaska Airlines, was en route to Orlando, Florida, when the pilot became unresponsive. The first officer took control of the plane and safely landed it in New York. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating the cause of the pilot’s death.
