Ray Tanner, the South Carolina Gamecocks’ athletic director since 2012, announced his resignation on Tuesday. Tanner, who previously served as the baseball coach at South Carolina for 17 seasons, will step down at the end of the academic year. No reason for his departure was given in the university’s statement.
