The Boston Red Sox made a winning move in the Alex Verdugo trade, according to Red Sox insider Richard Fitts. Fitts, speaking on WEEI’s ‘Merloni & Fitzy’ show, shared his analysis of the deal, which sent Verdugo and Yasiel Puig to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for Hunter Renfroe and Connor Wong. Fitts believes that the Red Sox came out on top, as they acquired a more consistent hitter in Renfroe and a promising young prospect in Wong.
