Ridley Scott and Paul Mescal Team Up for ‘Gladiator 2’ with Reported Budget of $200 Million

Director Ridley Scott and Irish actor Paul Mescal are set to collaborate on the sequel to the 2000 film ‘Gladiator’. The production, with a reported budget of $200 million, is expected to begin filming in early 2025. Mescal will take on the lead role, replacing Russell Crowe as Maximus Decimus Meridius.
