Kansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez and infielder Whit Merrifield have tested positive for COVID-19, the team announced Thursday. Perez, an eight-time All-Star and three-time Gold Glove winner, is currently in the Dominican Republic. Merrifield, a two-time All-Star and Silver Slugger Award winner, is in the United States. Both players are experiencing mild symptoms and are self-isolating.
