The Seattle Mariners rallied late to defeat the Texas Rangers 5-4 on Tuesday, handing the Rangers their fifth consecutive loss. The Rangers brought in their bullpen in the eighth inning with a 4-1 lead, but the Mariners scored three runs in the eighth and added two more in the ninth. Jacob deGrom made his Rangers debut, allowing one run in five innings.
