Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) has announced the recipients of its Strategic Innovation Fund. The fund, which is part of SSEN’s £10 million innovation programme, will support projects aimed at improving network resilience and reducing carbon emissions. The successful projects include a battery storage system, a smart grid trial, and a renewable energy microgrid. The funding will be used to develop and test these projects over the next two years.
