Taiwan’s Foxconn Technology Group plans to invest $10 billion in a new display panel factory in the United States, according to a report from Reuters. The factory, which could create up to 5,000 jobs, would produce screens for televisions and other devices. Foxconn, also known as Hon Hai Precision Industry, is the world’s largest contract electronics manufacturer and already has a significant presence in the US, employing around 13,000 people at its Wisconsin plant.
