According to a poll conducted by the University of Texas and Texas Tribune, Democratic challenger Colin Allred has taken the lead over incumbent Republican Senator Ted Cruz in the race for Texas’ Senate seat for the first time. The poll shows Allred with a 48% to 46% lead over Cruz.
